Abstract
Various techniques for “accurate measurement” were created through the wisdom of our ancestors. The development of surveying technologies has contributed to cultural evolution, which in turn has further refined the instruments for surveying. In 2008, a groundbreaking product was released from SOKKIA through the implementation of the latest technologies, the Automated 3D station “NET05” which achieved the ultimate in precision. Automated measurement capability expands application possibilities, such as monitoring, shipbuilding, wind energy, aircrafts and etc. NET05 in combination with GLM 3-DIM software performs complex geometry and dimensional control measurement.
