The performances of sea tide components near sea shore and confined water areas are different from their global behavior. A local tide model was constructed to express the tidal variations in Persian Gulf and Oman sea using TOPEX/POSEIDON, ERS-1, and ERS-2 satellite altimetry observations at cross over points. Both Fourier and the least squares spectral analysis method suitable for even non-uniformly distributed data in time and space showed that, in spite of the main tidal frequencies M2, S2, N2, K1, P1, O1, Mf, Mm, Sa, and Ssa there exist other frequencies, particular to the locations, the certainty of which were statistically tested.
