In some agricultural area's there are types of crops which are similar in reflectance spectral in multispectral image which can not be discriminated. In this paper Hyperion hyperspectral imager onboard the EO-1 platform data from agricultural area in Iran,Ahmadabad has been used. The sensor’s 242 Spectral band between 400 and 2500 nm (level 1B1) and spatial resolution of 30m bear the potential for agricultural crop discrimination and land use classification. This study evaluates several narrowband indices from Hyperion data and Spectral Angle Mapper(SAM) approach for discriminating crops.Simulated ETM+ data has been used for evaluating discrimination accuracy.
