For the purpose of the demonstration, we have selected Abu Dhabi Municipality and Navteq data, to reflect an applicable environment. Agenda: Benefits of Oracle Spatial compared to other GIS formats; Production automation with Oracle Spatial & LorikSoftware; Direct data access to build customized map models; Cartographic generalization & design; Map production for both printing and the Internet; Automatic map design versus pre-press fine editing and Advanced updating technologies.The presentation will focus on benefits of LorikSoftware technologies combined with Oracle Spatial or PostgreSQL for producing customized maps. LorikSoftware creates maps varying in scale and design out off the same data source without altering or overloading the original database for any type of printed or digital publication.
